Need Motivation?

Sometimes it's hard to keep a good routine of healthy eating and exercise, that's a proven fact.  Here's a few tips to consider when you just don't have the desire to get up and move:
  • If you don't feel like exercising at least get up and walk.  It's the easiest way to use all of your muscles and you'll definitely burn more calories than not walking at all.
  • Join a group exercise program.  Take along a friend.  Friends can be great motivators and super support!
  • Make exercise convenient.  If you don't want to travel for exercise, buy some hand weights and set up a simple space in your home just big enough for push-ups and crunches.  You don't need a full gym to build calorie-burning muscle.  The Body Toning Program requires little or no equipment.
  • Play your favorite music and walk or work out in different tempos to give yourself a varied work-out.  Tip:  After a few times, the next time you hear this music, your body will automatically want to exercise!
  • Dreading the workout?  Plan to do only your favorite moves for a really short work-out, just to get your blood pumping.  Chances are you may end up doing a full one.  If not, better a short one than not at all!  You're still burning more calories than if you didn't do it at all!
  • Sugar plumps up fat cells!  Make small goals in your eating plan.  Work on slowly cutting out sugary and *refined sugared foods.  Add a new vegetable or fruit to your meals a couple times a week. *Successful Weight Loss book shows you what to avoid!

Here's a motivational poem:

What is a Workout?

A workout is 25% perspiration and 75% determination.

Stated another way; It is one part physical exertionand three parts self-discipline.

Doing it is easy once you get started.

A workout makes you better today than you were yesterday.

It strengthens the body, relaxes the mind and toughens the spirit.

When you work out regularly, your problems diminish and your confidence grows.

A workout is a personal triumph over laziness and procrastination.

It is the badge of a winner, the mark of an organized, goal oriented person who has taken charge of his or her destiny.

A workout is a wise use of time and an investment in excellence.

It is a way of preparing for life's challenges and proving to yourself that you have what it takes to do what is necessary.

A workout is a key that helps unlock the door to opportunity & success.

Hidden within each of us is an extraordinary force.

Physical and mental fitness are the triggers that can and will release it.

A workout is a form of rebirth. When you finish.
