Missing a meal or two has positive detoxifying effects on your body.
Doing so gets the liver burning calories and fat more efficiently.  This plan below is a good start and easy to follow to release the fat more easily from your cells.  This is such an important step to beginning any new weight loss plan, it is highly recommended.

Please be sure to consult your doctor before beginning any new weight loss or eating plan.

The Detox Apple Cleanse

What is it?

This is a simple detoxificantion routine that will bring many fat releasing benefits as you begin this plan.

You will start your new eating plan with a negative calorie balance if used for two days in a row.  (Or....Using it for one day is better than none, but this type of cleansing/eating plan can be used for as many days in a row as you'd like - some people substitute this for their regular eating plan a couple of days per week for even faster weight loss results)

This type of cleansing will regulate your digestive system and allow your liver to function more efficiently in burning calories and releasing fat from your cells.

It will also shrink your stomach and get rid of unwanted sugar cravings.

You may find this is easier to follow over a longer period to get the results of a negative calorie balance.

How to Follow for Best Results

Eat nothing but apples, any variety, whenever you are hungry from the time you awake until the time you usually have dinner (usually 3-5).  Drink plenty of water througout the day as well.

  • Although apples are a huge benefit to the body, if you do have high blood sugar problems, you may want to substitute the apples with non-sweet vegetables like lettuce, spinach, celery and cucumber.  But opt for apples for better cleansing results.

For Dinner - have a 3-5 oz. serving of lean protein and be sure to include green vegetables as at least 50% of your meal.

  • Do not eat bread, rice or starchy vegetables, such as potatoes (any kind), corn or artichokes. (See recommended dinner menu's below.)

If you are hungry or need to snack following dinner, eat more apples

  • As an alternate to apples, eat raw vegetables, but do not combine apples & veggies, make it one or the other.  No dips, no sauces, eat the veggies raw or steamed.

Absolutely no sweets during this cleanse.  In fact, by midday the sweet cravings should be non-existent.  Being able to eat whenever you are hungry will keep your body nourished without any sense of hunger.  Keep in mind that some cravings can be more of a habit than hunger.

Recommendations:

Perform this eating routine for 2 days for optimal results before beginning your new weight loss plan.  It will rid your digestive system of the unwanted toxins, helping your liver break down fats and regulate weight loss.  It will also start you at a negative calorie balance of about 2,000 calories, but will vary by person depending on your usual calorie consumption.
