To get your current heart rate during exercise:

Count your wrist pulse for 6 seconds. 

Multiply the # by 10  = Heart Rate per minute.


Figure What Your Heart Rate Should Be:

220 minus your age = [A]

[A] = Maximum Heart Rate

[A] x .70 (70%) = Ideal Exercise Heart Rate

[A] x .40 (40%) = Resting Heart Rate

Keep it in the 65%-70% zone for the most effective fat burning workout.
